Speed variations Time Lapse
on Sep 27, 2018 at 8:33:36 pm

I shoot some time lapses with a motorized slider (Konova) but the engine did not run evenly, there are cyclic speed variations on the movement.

Any suggestion to analyze speed and make it smooth and constant?

Thanks in advance

I recommend that you solve your shooting issues and do it over again. The chances are excellent that in the end, you will save yourself a LOT more time.

Reshooting is a much better idea than this, but here's what I might do if there was no reshoot option.

If the camera move is such that you can resolve a 3D camera track, you will see the motion of the camera when you create one. Then, if you compare the position of the camera to a linear interpolation between the start and end point, you will get a representation of how the motion differs. As to exactly how to proceed from there will take some thought, but it will likely involve pixel motion frame blending to create the final frames, since they will not fall on footage frames.
