Control Text Size via expression?
on Jun 20, 2018 at 4:38:38 pm

Hi. I thought It would be easy to find the answer online and I have posted on the expression forum, pardon the double posting...
probably an easy task,
I have a couple of dozen Comps, each has 2 text layers (lower thirds)
What's a right way of controlling, in a a kind of a controller layer for example, font size (and if possible, font and font style) via expression?
So I could change size and hopefully values in a couple of clicks for ALL of them?

Any tip is greatly appreciated

Scale is expression-able, but font size, typeface, etc. are not.

You might consider using the Master Properties feature of the latest release of Ae; then you could build one comp to control the style, animation, etc., and edit the individual text values in your other comps. If you're working with Premiere, you can use Motion Graphics Templates.

you could also have them all lead to a null on the main composition..the old way of doing things
