Animate between keyframes?
on Feb 3, 2018 at 11:16:59 pm

I want to make a dynamic controller that needs to skip keyframes sometimes. For example. Using expressions, is there a way to animate an object's keyframe 1 to keyframe 3 and skip keyframe 2 all together?

Please describe what you're trying to accomplish. There may be a better way to do it than you're currently thinking.

I have a Face made out of shapes. I use paths to morph the face from facing front ( keyframe 1 ) to facing left ( keyframe 2 ), than I have the face morphing to the right side ( keyframe 3 ). Is there anyway I can have some how make it so that the paths morph from keyframe 1 directly to keyframe 3 ignoring keyframe 2.

Duplicate the comp with the keyframes for safety's sake. Delete Keyframe 2. The comp now animates from 1 to 3.

Why not start with keyframe 3, go to 1 and then go to two? Now animate in your final comp using time remmap. That's how you should do it.

I'm terribly sorry, but I didn't explain things well enough.

There is multiple warps. So sometimes I need to go from key frame 1 to keyframe 10 and somehow skip keys from 2 to 9, etc etc. Is there just some way to get the value of a path's keyframe and merge it to a different keyframe. Get and average of the 2 in away.

Nope, there is no pose morph function for After Effects. Specially for mask animation.
