Image transformation

I am thinking about creating a logo animation. It begins with a circle and then the circle grows bigger and suddenly it transform into an arrow. How to create such a thing?

Should I use the opacity manipulation to hide the first image and show the second image or is there any other way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

It really depends on how you want the transform to happen. You could make it as a shape layer or a mask and animate the shape from the circle to the arrow.

It's time for you to grab a set of storyboards and draw out what you want to see happen on this animation. We can't see what's in your head.

Storyboarding is an all-too-often overlooked discipline that forces you to come up with better designs, consider your options and know what you're going to do.
