Slider effect problem
on Jan 3, 2018 at 1:09:58 pm

Hi all,

Currently I'm working on a animation but something isn't working out.
I have one text layer (SHOTSPEED 0 KM/H). In this layer I want "0" to slide up to "100".

If I use Slider Control it affects the whole text layer which is not what I want because then I'll lose the words.

Does anyone know how to put the Slider Control (or something similar) only on the 0 without using multiple layers? If I use multiple layers I can't get the spacing between the words right.

Hopefully someone knows the answer 😄

Cheers,
Thom

What you want is to fit THREE digits into the same space as ONE digit. Or vice-versa.

Have you seen in your mind's eye what this might look like if you don't want the letters to move? It doesn't sound as if you have.

You need to use an expression that includes the value of the slider inside your text string, like this:

"SHOTSPEED " + parseInt(effect("Slider Control")("Slider")) + " KM/H"
