Keyframing the color control
on Dec 23, 2017 at 9:41:23 am

Hello, I'm working on a project and currently have some shapes in comps that are linked with expressions to a main comp adjustments layer with a bunch of color controls for them. The problem is when I want to keyframe that color control to change its color over time it doesn't work, only the color that is set by the first keyframe is displayed correctly, the next keyframes don't change the shape color, only its color control color picker box is changed and it doesn't have any affect on the animation.
Is it possible to keyframe the color control at all? If not, how can I animate color change for a bunch of linked shapes without hand-keyframing each shape and object in every comp (there is a lot of them)
Thanks!

There are things you are not sharing with us.
What are the PRECISE versions of AE & OS? Why are you trying to control the color so precisely -- and even more troubling -- automatically?

Figured it out by now. The problem was in my project structure and, as it turned out, the color controls can be framed with no problem.
Thanks to all!
