Thoughts on getting this shape alive? (Pic attached)

Hello
I'm looking for tips on getting this dotted shape to get some motion/animation...

Assuming Trapcode (form?) Could be of help, any thought or direction would be appreciated...
Thank you so much!

yes, it seems like form would be ideal. Looks like a single stack of X by Y points, cropped by a circle (either a map or the sphere force options in form). Having a gradient mapped to the color in a X over Y fashion. And a formula like gradient being mapped to position in XY over Z.

Thanks for the reply Cassius!
I'll try to play with it when i'll get a hold of a station with the plugin, or someone who knows the plugin. I'll update if anything comes up. For now i'll check some online tutorial to understand the idea.

if you don't have form, or want to do this without 3rd party plugins, I think you could do this with a mask, stroke and echo....

to get you started, simply create a new solid and draw a mask on it with the pen tool. add a keyframe for the mask path and then move down the timeline and move some mask vertices and repeat this process until you've have a short animated path.

to make the dots, add stroke, set the 'paint style' to 'on transparent' and increase the spacing to 100%. you should have a dotted line around your mask path. you can also keyframe the color property to change as needed.

then you can add the echo effect and increase the number of echoes to create the repeating effect. you probably want to set the echo operator to composite in back or front. adjusting the echo time will adjust the spacing in between the 'echoes'
