Bluring Objects Behind A Layer
on Oct 14, 2017 at 7:17:45 pm

Hiya, I've been watching a bit of YouTube and messing around on After Effects (As you do) and have came across something which I would like to know how to do. Whilst watching CloudKid on YouTube I saw that behind the outer circle, everything was blurred
As pictured:

I have tried following this fourm: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/850640 but found it confusing, and didn't have any luck.
If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it 😁
Thanks in advance!

Add an adjustment layer between the background and the white circle. Create a circular mask on the adjustment layer and set it to Add (or Subtract with Inverted checked). Add a blur effect to the adjustment layer.

Yes! Thank you so much, I've been trying to figure this out for AGES and this has done the job! Thanks again 👍
