Green Screen Rendering

Hi everyone!

So I have roughly a 3 minute .MOV file. It's just a young lady talking on green screen. I used Keylight to key my footage. I also used "key cleaner, advanced spill suppressor and refine hard matte" effects to modify my key.
I'm exporting at 1920 x 1080, photo-JPEG, QuickTime, Ive also tried H.264. I've allocated 13GB of RAM to AE.

It's taking over 2 hours to render. Is this right? Is there anything I can do? Is this common with green screen renders? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Depending on the source footage, it could be just about right. 3 minutes is an awfully-long time in an AE comp, and if you're keying highly-compressed footage, AE has a lot of extra thinking to do.

And AE is no speed demon in the first place.

Thanks for your insight.
Do you think if I import an .mp4 file instead of an .MOV file into AE it would make a difference?

.MOV merely indicates that it's a quicktime movie. It's the codec that makes the difference. I like to transcode to quicktimes in the Photo JPEG, PNG or Animation codecs.
