copy effect keyframes to multiple layers at different places on the timeline
on Sep 7, 2017 at 7:16:51 am

Hey, I am trying to make a lyric video and i have synced the lyrics to the music and want to add a transition to the beginning of each text layer without having to do them all individually. When i try to copy and paste the keyframes to all, they are all aligned to the same moment on the timeline and not to the start of each piece of footage. How do i change the keyframes to all layers according to its own footage beginning?

Thanks :D

one way that might work for you would be to line all the text layers up to the current CTI selecting all the layers and typing [ (left-bracket), then pasting the keyframes to all those layers.

then use keyframe assistant>sequence layers to re distribute the layers.

obviously, the this will sequence them all equally, so it may not work depending on how you have things set up.

another way is to use expressions on those properties that will take the keyframed values and base them off the timing of the current inPoints of the layers....

try this expression on each of the keyframed properties:

valueAtTime( time - inPoint )

Then copy and paste those properties onto the other layers.
