sound levels change in rendered footage
on Jul 10, 2017 at 5:26:44 am

In my footage I have to audio tracks ( basic pads) that are cross faded with each other so that when one starts to fade the other jumps, its set up in a smooth way and in the preview everything sounds smooth.

But when I render the footage it seems that the audio level goes very weak and then jumps back to normal again. Any idea whats causing this?

Sorry, but you picked the wrong application for audio work. After Effects SUCKS at audio. It always has.

If you're satisfied with the video, I'd do this --

Render out the video ONLY. Import it into Premiere Pro. Import the audio into Premiere Pro too and do your mixing there.

And if you're using compressed audio, DON'T! Neither Premiere Pro nor AE does well with it. Use Audition to convert it to wav or aiff.

Hi there. I experience this as well, and it is disconcerting, but I think it is just a slow render process.

If you leave it a little longer - it just goes through the process at the pace it wants too - and finally renders fully and properly.
