Export null and camera to 3D softwere

Im not sure if this is a Maya topic og After Effects topic but Ill try here.

Im trying to export my camera and nulls from After Effects to maya. I found out that most tutorials out there tells me to use a little script called AE3d Exporter.

However, Maya cant read the file right that this script creates. It always places the camera and the nulls in the center of my scene. Maybe this have something to do with my version of Maya. This script is 9 year old and I am using Maya 2017 Update 3.

If some of you know how to do this or maybe know about another script, please share.

If you have AE you have cinema 4d light... check if you can export with C4D light anything that maya can import that holds object data.

Maya 2017 Update 3 comes with the MASH Maya to AE Live Link plugin.

However, there's a third party one that I am using called Dark Arts Tools for Maya v 2.90 (on Highend3D). It has a tool called "Auto Locator - Maya to AFX" that allows you to select the locators and camera, press the button. It then automates the baking and creates a file with your camera and locator data for importing into AE.

I hope that helps.
