Latest updates of AE and PrPro broke Keyframe Value retention

With the CC updates of AE and Premiere these programs will lose long sets of keyframe settings when they are adjusted.

I have been an Adobe editor and user of other editing packages for 14 years.

This reminds me way too much of the bad old days of Adobe settings drift.

Thanks for the warning. Which precise version display this behavior?

I have no fears for you because you've been doing this long enough to know that you NEVER trust an Adobe update, and that you always leave yourself a way out of it.

Premiere CC 2017.1.1 v11 Tanq (whatever that means)

After Effects CC 2017.2
Version 14.2.0.198

These are updates from last week. Thursday or so.

I was trying to do a short web video to illustrate something. It took 10 times as long as expected, repairing and repositioning.

Layer position key frames and opacities were constantly being lost.
Also the user settings were not in place.

A horror show.

That sounds horrible! We've done a lot of work on 14.2 and haven't seen these issues. I'd suggest you reset your preferences -- launch Ae, then hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) while it's starting.

,I have not tried last night's update yet. But I just read a long list of "fixes" and what I have related here I do not see in the list in any form.

On an Adobe post in Facebook I put this into a reply to the official admin comment.

Did you try resetting preferences as I suggested? If that didn't work, did you file a bug report? What you've encountered here is not a widespread issue, but data loss is something that the dev team takes very seriously.
