Grid pixelates after rendered
on May 19, 2017 at 5:21:14 pm

I have a problem with After Effects where the video always pixelates at a certain point. It doesn't happen when I preview it in the program. I always choose High Bitrate settings when rendering. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of knowledge about rendering options.
I have two screenshots showing the problem.

If you are using AE's render queue, what are your render settings and output module settings?
If you are sending your render to AME, what are your settings there?

I'm sending my render to AME. I have the settings in the picture below. Hope it helps.

You could try 2-pass VBR in those settings, but I don't know if it will help much. The H.264 codec is notorious for its failure to cleanly encode sharply-defined edges, and you have a lot of them.

Please tell us how this will be used, and if you're part of a production pipeline, the individual who will use the animation next.

2-pass VBR seems to do the job! Thank you very much.
