 | Final Comp letterbox sub-comps full screen
on May 19, 2017 at 4:23:19 pm |
I'm working from a template and brought in my 1920x1080p footage to the project. In the sub-comps the footage looks fine (fills the screen), but in the final comp they feed into they appear cropped in letterbox fashion. What could be causing this?
Thanks for any help on this!

It's probably an effect applied somewhere in a precomp. Templates are notoriously complicated; you're going to have to dig through the compositions in the project to find it. The easiest path is probably to go to the composition where you drop your footage, press the TAB key to pull up the mini flowchart, and then go to the comp that your footage comp is nested in. If the letterboxing isn't done there, repeat! You'll find it eventually.

Thanks. Been doing that. Thought there might be a quicker find. I've reached out to the template designer as well.
