I'm quite new to After Effects and have been looking for tutorials and ways of achieving some automation I wanna do with the software. Basically mirror a "Sampler" function in audio production and use MIDI information to launch video files in a Video Editor. I found this tutorial http://www.schoolofmotion.com/midi-controlled-animation-part-2/ and has been pretty useful for importing MIDI information but got stuck on the animation specifics and effects.
My question is, having MIDI data represented in keyframes or markers, is it possible to launch a 2 second video every time a keyframe is hit? Don't mind to interrupt it when having fast music passages. Just need to play a file every time the keyframe or marker happens in order to automate the process to replicate it with "any" MIDI file.
