Editing premier pro sequence in After Effects
on Mar 19, 2017 at 4:47:31 pm

I've imported a Premier Pro project into After Effects to finish editing. All of the cuts from Premier are shown in After Effects as pre- comps, so when I double click on the clip, it shows the original, entire clip rather than the cut section I need to edit. I want to add warp stablizer, so even when I turn off "collapse transformation" while its in pre-comp, it still gets stuck "analyzing".

Help?

When AE warp stabilizes a clip, it analyzes THE ENTIRE CLIP, regardless of in & out points. You have a 1-hour clip, and you want just 10 seconds? AE analyzes the entire hour.

There is a warp stabilizer in PP. Perhaps you should think about using it.

Ok thank you. So then I ask, can I apply the warp stabilizer to the clips in Premier, import the project to After Effects and individually work on each clip's effects in the properties?

It depends on what you are doing. There are a lot of effects in PP, which can make a trip to AE unnecessary.
