difference between frame blending & RSMV blur

difference between frame blending & RSMV blur

I am compositing some rendered CG footage out of maya, basically a moving car on a road.

I want the movement to be fluid at 30 fps, so should I aply RSMV blur to my sequence which can simulate motion blur and make thing more fluid or should I simply use AE frame blending option.

What are the pros and cons of each approach?

It depends on the frame rate of the footage coming out of Maya.
If you want to deliver a 30 (29.97?) file out of AE, I say export out of Maya at the same frame rate. Don't skimp to save rendering time. It isn't worth it in the end.

With ReelSmart Motion Blur, you can use a motion vector pass from your 3D render to drive more accurate motion blur than you'd get from either RSMB's or Ae's native motion estimation.

you can also use the timewarp effect to add motion blur... keep the speed at 100, but enable motion blur.

it's not as good as RSMB, nor as fast... but it's free, and I think it will create a better motion blur than frame blending.

so the options would be like this (in order of qualirty):

1- RSMV motion blur

2- RS motion blur

3-use simple time warp (enable motion blur)

4-Simply AE frame blending

4-use twixtor (enable built in blending)

right?
