resize a layer without changing the comp
on Feb 13, 2017 at 4:29:31 pm

Hello, my problem is a bit complicated.
I have an Autodesk Compositor Link with an heavy animated scene.
I spent many hours on it until i realized that all imported solids are way too small.
They are only 13px x 13px, they should be 1300x1300.
When i scale the Solids now, everything gets messed up.
The Project is in 1920x1080 and everything looks good but when i use the 3d data from the solids on other comps, i have to scale em down and the content gets unreadeble.

I forgett to change the unit in 3ds max.
I can't undo it right now cause im using ae 2017 and i spent too much time.
So i have to fix it right now.

How can i increase the size of the imported solids without messing everything up?
ctrl+shift+j doesn't work.

Things are getting messed up because you have them parented to the solids?

Unparent, change the solid settings, parent again.

No i just copy the position and rotation data from the solids and paste them on the comp.
And then i have to resize the comp to 8%, otherwise its too big.
I dont link.

Let me understand what it is thats getting messed up. Where are you adding stuff in AE? you said the solids are 13px wide. What happens when you change their resolution?

Can you post a screenshot of your composition?
