Glitching render, but not in precomp

Hello,

I have a curious problem... I animated a set of circles, and in the precomp everything is fine. Yet, when I put the precomp in my DEF comp, suddenly the animation is glitching? I rendered both my precomp and def, you can watch them below (3 sec animation):

As you can see in the def at the end, the circle at the top glitches, but it doesn't do so in the precomp. I simply dragged my precomp in the def, and didn't adjust anything. There are two other layers in the def at the moment, but disabling them doesn't help either; still glitching.

Any thoughts?

Try clearing your cache. Edit > Purge > All memory & Disk Cache.

Unfortunately, clearing the cache doesn't work. Still glitching

Looking at it now, I think it has something to do with the mask applied to the layer named "cirkel_stuk1" in the "cirkel_swirls" comp. It glitches in the def at the time the mask in the "cirkel_swirls" comp expands.

You have a frame rate mismatch. DEF is 29.97, and cirkel_swirls is 25.0. I think the keyframing on the mask in 25.0 is not lining up in 29.97.

Unfortunately, after changing the FPS in the def comp (and once again clearing cache), it still glitches.

Thanks for pointing it out though! Didn't notice it, and it can be problematic in the future.

Oh!
It did fix it! I deleted the precomp in the def, and put it back in, and now it is fixed!
