Key frame Velocity - Getting the best motion?

I have been creating an AE lower third template and my motion isn't quite there yet (30fps). The motion seems jagged to me previewed in the comp and exported as a MOV file.

The animation is using a masking path on a shaper layer going from left to right:

Here are my Key frame velocity settings:
1 Key frame

2 Key frame

Are these settings okay? Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Perhaps your overall rate of motion is too high for your frame rate? When there's a large visual difference in a moving object between one frame and the next, the motion appears very un-smooth, jumpy. Sometimes enabling motion blur can help, but usually you have to tweak your animation to get the motion under the critical speed that causes the effect.

Video lagging after render

Thanks for the reply.

I don't think is got to do with key frame velocity. When I export a 1920X1080 30fps H.264 QT file, it lags in certain areas during playback, than, when played again, there is no lag at all. My mac isn't the most powerful machine out there, but I'm able to play other HD files without lag (not my own). Motion blur hasn't helped. Any ideas?

Edit: I just rendered a SD video file using the linear wipe and the video also jumps/jags during playback. Something is not right with AE?
