How To illuminate scene with Optical flare (from videocopilot)?

When I put the optical flare, it really don't iluminate my layers with 3d activated, why? how xcan i iluminate and 2d objetc I imported as this video (minute 0:04 to 0:21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuTwtOo88r8 with optical flare? exists any way? thanks

The link you posted isn't working. You should be able to set your flare to a light and you can use that light to illuminate 3D layers.

Optical flares can not iluminate between darkness by itself? how I attach to a light? thanks

Optical flares is not a light source. It simulates the various reflections, refractions and other artifacts coming from camera lenses, i.e. what different camera lenses add to the look of a light source. You can attach it to a light by selecting "track lights" in the Optical Flares effect options.
