Collapse transformation offsets effect psoitions.

I have a vector logo that I animated with several radial and linear wipes. That animation is a pre comp that placed inside a master comp so I could move and scale it easily. to maintain the scalability of the vector file, I turned on collapse transform for the vector layer and for the precomp inside the master comp, that did what I want, except now when I move the precomp around the radial wipe positions don't follow. I understand that the collapse transform is changing them to global space instead of layer space, but I need to find a way around that. I tried linking the radial wipe position to a null, but that didn't help, nor did placing the radial wipe on an adjustment layer that didn't have collapse transform.

So any ideas of how to do this, maybe an expression can get the position back into layer space?

What if you do the precomped work in a larger raster, obviating the need for Collapse Transformations?

Ya unfortunately that seems to be the only way to work. I try to avoid supermassive precomps but I guess they their moments. and this is one of them.

I got puzzled by your question so I put this up now, try to use it on the "Wipe Center" property.

a=comp("MAIN").layer("PRECOMP");
c=comp("MAIN");
b=a.toComp(a.anchorPoint);
sum=[(c.width/2)-b[0],((c.height/2)-b[1])];
adjW=c.width/a.width;
adjH=c.height/a.height;
value-[sum[0]/adjW,sum[1]/adjH]

Thanks Cassius,

that works for the position but then if you adjust the scale it doesn't follow.

Yeah, you're right. It only works if you're wiping from the center (so scale won't matter).

I think things get pretty complicated if we're to take into account all transformations with an offset in position. I wish I had the time to figure it out because I'm sure is just a matter of time until I need that too.
