visualization of bed rotating 360 degrees
on Jun 22, 2016 at 9:38:24 am

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to create a visualization of bed which will slowly rotate 360 degrees .This project will be based on putting together jpg files. I want to use Adobe After Effects for it.

I came across a few problematic issues so far:

- how can avoid this leap between one jpg and the next one while playing?

- some of the pictures are taken closer to the object and the others a bit further. Can I set the same distance to the object while rotating this furniture?

- what will be the miniumum photos (jpg) needed for this visualization?

This project is for internet

Many thanx!

Ae is probably not the best tool for this.

Perhaps look at Autodesk 123D Catch?

Thank you Walter

I've tried Autodesk 123D Catch but I can't get any near visualization like for example this one

http://www.photospherix.com/3d-view/81/

Eventually I'd like to have it spin around smoother than in this link

Any other ideas how could I achive this effect? Any Adobe programs?

Thanks

Put the bed on a turntable. Shoot it with a video camera. Done.

If I were to do this (the low-budget way and using a camera), I'd find a place where you have a white background and can draw a circle on the ground with evenly spaced marks for shooting positions, and place a trackable object (something like a table tennis ball) on the bed in the center where you want it to rotate and shoot pointing exactly at that. Then you can track the ball to align everything perfectly in AE. And clone the ball out in the end. In my experience you need at least 180 photos (2 degree rotation between frames) before it looks smooth, but "smooth" is a matter of opinion.

Many thanks for all responds

I've seen once bed visualization consisting of only 36 .png files and the whole .gif visualization had only 2.5MB. The guy for whom it was made said that this designer came to his office, took just a few shots of the bed using regular phone, measured it all and that was it. The final result looked just like visualization in this video.

Unfortunately I don't have Adobe Edge Animate

PS. Wonder why he measured this bed and how he got clean looking item in 360 degree rotation by taking only a few pictures using mobile phone with no side lights and so on...hmmm....
