reducing tracking information over layers
on Mar 12, 2014 at 12:06:24 pm

I was trying to work out if there is a way to reduce the tracking effect on layers as they go deeper on a composition without using 3d layers.

For example the track I have is taken from a foreground object with quite a large sideways slide. I have this track applied to a null which is then parented to the layers below.

One of the layers is deep in the distance and I want the same movement to be applied but reduced.

I know it can be done with 3D layers but despite playing with scale I seem to end of having to move the layer back in the Z plane into the hundreds of thousands to get the minimized track movement which is a bit awkward to fine tune.

I was wondering if there is an easier way, such as dividing amount of track that is actually used by the layer or something along those lines.

Any ideas?
