Short Cuts

I am wondering if there is a short cut or quick method for moving multiple layers to begin at the time marker maintaining their relative positions to each other. Basically an insert edit in Premiere.
Thinking CMD + OPT + Shift + [
On the same note is there a quick way to select all layers above or below a selected layer ( other than and scrolling to the top/bottom and shift selecting that layer). Similar to a select forward in Premiere.

CTL/OPT-0click the desired layers. Shift-drag the layer that appears in time first among those selected to the current position of the timeline cursor. It will snap into place, and the other layers will maintain their relative positions to it along the timeline.

In other words, no. You just have to muscle it.

Well, it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

You also must remember that AE does very different things from Premiere. It is NOT an editing application, and it doesn't function like an editing application in any way, shape or form.

I understand but hope for more. Even just a way to parent temporally without pre composing.

BTW -- Who's eye and who's stick.

Your eye and someone else's stick. Better hope they like you!
