Expressions: simple two value

I want to add some cheap-ass animation to some parameters that have X,Y inputs.

The X can be static, but I'd like the Y to increment. I thought I could simply put:
2048, (time*90)
into the expressions line and that would satisfy the need for two arguments, but apparently not.

What am I missing here? THANKS.

You are missing the brackets. Write it like this [2048, (time*90)]
