Select Text Anchor point
on Jul 15, 2010 at 6:20:49 am

I am new to AE and I have for you a pretty simple question. When I want to move the Text anchor point to center I keep selecting the corner instead of the anchor point ? what can I do to only select the anchor point and not the text corner ?

Thanks for help

Turn on the "pan behind" tool in your toolbar. This will enable you to move just the anchor point.

You'll find the tool just to the left of your rectangle tool (or one of the other marquis depending on the last one used).

Hope this is what you're looking for.

Bob

[Ralf Klaassen] "what can I do to only select the anchor point and not the text corner ? "

You can change the text layer's PARAGRAPH settings to Centered rather than right or left-justified. Changing the paragraph settings changes where the anchor point is located.

Changing the layer's anchor point settings does that, too.
