OK, so I'm trying to replicate the look of a Space Invaders game, where an icon at the bottom edge of the screen fires shots upwards, towards the top edge of the screen.

Using CC 2015.

I found "Cannon" in "Particle Playground" but, when I move the emitter around, all the shots that are already fired move along with the emitter. That's no good. I need each shot to keep moving without reference to what its emitter does next... like a cannon's shot.

The effect is attached to a solid that's same size as comp (HD).

What must I do to make cannon shots keep moving on their own instead of moving left and right when I move the emitter left and right?

I need about 20 or 40 shots fired. Otherwise I'd have done this by hand. Hoping for a labor-saving solution.

Keyframe the emitter position.
