easy ease PROBLEM with Linear/ease()
on Feb 21, 2016 at 9:17:33 pm

am trying to link some keys to markers using Dan Ebberts expression:

L = thisLayer;
if ((L.marker.numKeys > 1 ) && (numKeys > 3)){
sIn = key(2).time - key(1).time;
sOut = key(4).time - key(3).time;
eIn = L.marker.key(1).time;
eOut = L.marker.key(2).time;
if (time < L.marker.key(2).time)

which in my project case i changed "L" to target a layer in the parent comp:

L = comp("Comp 1").layer("Glass S01");

Everything is working fine except for one thing, my ease animation!, i tried to replace the linear with ease, but this gave me the normal easy ease we do using F9, i want to preserve my ease animation i did in the graph editor! is there a way to control my In and Out animation with markers while preserving my ease curves?

I believe the interpolation will then be controlled by the expression and not the influence of the keyframe itself. So, no.

Thanks a lot Cassius, but i still think that there is a workaround for it, i tried using valuAtTime instead of ease(t,tmim,tmax,v1,v2) and almost got there but this method shifts all the keyframes which miss the animation!

I also found a way that controls time remapping keyframes with markers on the parent comp, but in my case and because i have video in the nested comp this will cause the video to be faster or slower!
