Advanced 3D Camera Tracking Problems

Having a lot of trouble 3D tracking this shot and was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out and give me some advice. I have linked the clip below and want to do a 3D camera track so I can place 3D text using Element 3D in the entrance way between the silhouette wood posts in the foreground but when I run a 3D camera track all it will track is the trees in the background. I thought this would be a pretty simple track and I have even tried masking out just the bottom of the shot but then the camera wont solve. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. didn't really see a forum that revolved around just general advice in the community.

have you tried enhancing the details of the dark areas by adding some curves to it?

And are you using the detailed analysis? Have you tried increasing the number of trackers?

I usually get better/easier results with The Foundry's camera tracker plugin. If you have access to it you should try it.

I have tried using curves and have been using detailed analysis, Im not sure how to add more trackers? don't see a setting for that? and I wish i could use foundry but A. I can't afford it as a broke college kid, and B. they don't support AE 2015 yet. Thank you for the response! any other thoughts?

Perhaps I'm mistaking the number of tracks as an option from the TF's camera tracker plugin instead of AE's native one.

Maybe you're able to force some features in by changing some colors, and make sure you're masking the skater out from the calculations. But this may only help you little and it will deppend on how bad the tracking is coming out now.

If all this fails I'd still try to motion track some features near the window frame, attach the e3d layer to it and fake some of the 3d movement cause after all there isn't much camera rotation.

good luck
