interlaced footage
on Oct 27, 2015 at 7:10:04 pm

Hi all,

Simple question.
I am working on progressive footage for broadcast. The broadcast requires upper field first. The export needs to go through two exports to reach broadcast so my question is.

If i export a software and import it to after effects where a set up fixes colour and adds some titles and then exports the broadcast version do I export upper field first on the first export that goes into after effects or do I leave that as progressive and then on the after effects export change to upper field first? More importantly does it matter on the final export. I understand that the picture will come in interlaced into after effects but that doesnt matter. The question is more do you continue exporting upper field or is it better not to.

Besides After Effects, what other applications do you intend to use?
