Changing color of text as an object goes under it
on Jun 19, 2015 at 9:50:38 pm

So I have a layer of text that I want to change color as the object goes across it, well under it really, but I don't want the whole thing to change, just the part inside the object once it goes under it.

I'm trying to create an intro for someone and I'm new to AE, but I've got everything else figured out on my own except this. I don't know how to use all the tools so that's why I'm asking for help. Thanks.

You'll need to create/extract a matte of the 'below object'. Then combine this matte with the text layer's alpha channel to create a new composite matte.
