Gotcha, thanks for that.
A couple solutions come to mind:
1) Don't just adjust the anchor point, animate it. When you animate the anchor point, also animate the position the same amount in the other direction to offset.
2) Use a set of stacked nulls. After you do your first rotation, create a new null at the lower right corner and parent the square to the new null. Rotate the null. To do another rotation, create another new null and repeat the process, parenting up the chain as you go.
