Jittering frames when time remapping faster
on Aug 29, 2014 at 11:55:22 am

Hey all.
I originally attributed this problem to low quality footage, but after shooting a commercial on the Canon C300 and still struggling I thought I'd reach out for help.

Whenever I time-remap footage that is panning side to side I get a jittering effects which makes my footage look horrible.

I'm time remapping in after effects without any 3rd party plug-ins.

Does anyone have any suggestions to get past this? What are your preferred tools for time-remapping?
What is the industrial standard for time-remapping?

Thank you

The problem may not be the time-remapping; you may just be making the motion too fast to look smooth with your current frame rate.

See the FAQ: Why does horizontal motion stutter (judder) in my movies, such as during pans?
