tim and eric animation style

Hi - I've been using adobe premiere for over a year now for music video work, but I am currently branching out slightly into comedy videos. I'm a huge fan of the Tim & Eric show on Adult Swim, and love their work as filmmakers as well. I'd like to introduce animation into some of my video and would like to create some similar effects that I often see in there videos. Here is an example:

does anyone know if these effects are created using After Effects, or perhaps Adobe Flash?

There are hundreds of effects in that video...is there something in particular you want to accomplish? I didn't see anything that couldn't be done in AE. Just that you are asking, I would suggest you start here:

Hey thanks for the reply - I guess mostly just the cheezy, tacky animations.

[Tony Bozani] "Hey thanks for the reply - I guess mostly just the cheezy, tacky animations."

That doesn't really narrow it down! :)

You are more likely to get help if you mention the time in the video for the specific effect you're asking about, like "the shatter effect at 0:16."

the “small prices” effect at 0:11

the ‘shine’ effect on the prices

Just generally overlaying images, - I guess I just generally wanted to know if all this could have possibly been done in after effects?

Yes, it was done in After Effects.

What about this video? Can you do these types of animation in after effects? I just want a general idea, I know theres complex tutorials for 3D mapping and stuff like that. But if you master after effects, would this be capable?
thanks for the replies
