Cropping specific part of a clip
on Oct 23, 2013 at 6:15:07 pm

Hi everyone!
I tried shooting on a green screen for the first time and made a mistake.
There wasn't enough green on the background and floor, so when I replace the green screen on final cut x, there are parts that weren't covered by it on the original shot, so I have 4 more or less rectangular "pieces" of green missing, and I can't just crop the image as a whole because they're not exactly on the edges...
Someone recommended After Effects but I haven't got a clue how to do this.
If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful!!
This is a prtscreen of the problem:

You want to create a mask to subtract the junk:

Thank you Walter!
I didn't receive any notifications, so I've just seen your reply!
I'll check that tutorial to see if I can manage it!

Thank you!

Hi again,

I'm sorry... I've seen the tutorial video but when I create the masks and select "subtract" they turn black. So when I export the clip, it doesn't really erase the masked areas, but replaces them with black.
