I've got an edit in Premiere Pro C6, and went to move it over to After Effects but it wouldn't import - neither through the dynamic link, or a direct import into After Effects.

Footage is off the Alexa, shot Proress 422, and all working fine in Premiere. It just will not go into AE. Just get 'error with file'.

System is Windows 8, Creative Cloud copies of both, Quicktime 7 Pro installed, and as I say, all good in Premiere.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I'm presuming that you have toe ProRes codecs installed on this computer (else you wouldn't be able to import the same files into Premiere Pro).

Since After Effects and Premiere Pro use the same system to import QuickTime movies, it is odd that a file will import into one but not the other.

Please submit a bug report here:
... and mention whether you'll be able to also supply an example file that is causing the problem.
