Film Projector Effect

I have looked through many other threads on this and have not found any solid tutorial or explanation on how to attempt this effect.

I am trying to create an effect where my subject is projecting a recording from his eye onto a wall. It is very similar to how it is done in this video (check it @ 2:00)





If anyone can help with this, or even direct me to somewhere to even begin to learn how to attempt this I would be infinitely grateful!

This is called Holomatrix Effect and is very simple to create.

There is a 3rd-Party Plugin Red Giant's Holamatrix that will create the similar look within few clicks.

For giving the projecting feel, You can use Fractal Noise with Evolution animation.

Thanks Vishesh, this seems good. Do you know of a way to create this without the Red Giant plugin? Or are there other alternatives that mainly work within After Effects?
