Importing AVCHD .mts Error
on May 11, 2012 at 2:18:03 pm

Hello!
I'm running into a big problem (my work depends on it). For some reason I can not import .mts into after effects cs5.5
I get:

"After Effects error: '00005.MTS' cannot be imported - this '.mts' file is damaged or unsupported.

Cant open into adobe media encoder either. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening/how to fix this problem? Thanks!

What camera/codec was it shot on? Maybe the camera is newer than your version of After Effects and uses a newer format/codec than supported.

Does it open in premiere or even MPEG streamclip? If so perhaps exporting the clip you need into another format might help you.

Is it just the one clip or all of your clips?
If it's just a single clip having issues and not your other MTS files, it could unfortunately be that the file is corrupt.
