how to : detail wacom painting and use after effect to build animation
on Jan 27, 2012 at 2:07:21 am

Hi,

I am going to build a painting animation,( live action )
pls comment :
use wacom to do digitial painting, very details ( cannot covert to path )
a) by screen record all the live process into a mov file
( limtied to screen resolution, any idea increase to
3000 x 3000 ? and record in tif frames ?
when I do live wacom painting, sometimes I need to erase and adjust
how to skip those frames

b) convert the one final painting and use after effect
mask to do painting effect?
as it is a detail painting, the effect will not be good.

c) i see live sketch drawing on top a video,
how did they do it?

d)any tutorial links?

pls help!!
Evan

Why would you want the resulting video file to be 3000x3000? How do you intend to play that back?

Any video file can be converted to a TIF sequence.

You would skip where you had to erase and adjust things by editing the video in an NLE like Adobe Premiere Pro.

As far as option B goes, I would suggest using several different stages of your painting and revealing them bit by bit rather than just trying to do the whole thing at once.

You've seen people draw on live video? That would be done with a Telestrator [link]
