Agreed.

To quote an old yarn: Jacob Ruppert, Yankees owner, supposedly told Babe Ruth, "Manage the Yankees? You can't even manage yourself!"

Re: New Portable Production Equipment Advice

Hi Bob,

I found you on Creative Cow and need your advice. I am in the process of equipping a small portable production company. I will be using the Sony EX3 cameras with the Panasonic AV-HS400A switcher. We will be doing various types of productions including small to medium size event productions, seminars, studio interviews, on-location taping of shows (ex: cooking shows, etc...). Need inputs for powerpoint, CG, titling/lower 3rds, etc...everything needed to have a basically completed product on-site after taping, to include DVD authoring...

What switcher ad-on boards (HS04M2,M3,M7???, etc...) are necessary to incorporate lower 3rds, character generation, etc...?

Also, would you mind giving me your recommendation for the remainder of the necessary equipment

I responded to you privately. This is not a message for the SAN NEtwork forum. If you want more advice, ask on the Broadcast Forum.
