Hello, I've been shooting with a newer DVX 200 for about a year and have been very happy with the picture image. I usually shoot in 1080p or UHDat 29.97 0r 59.97.
I just shot some interviews in 4K, thinking I would like to be able to manipulate the image a little more in post without degradation. But the picture quality, instead of being better, was worse!
Every time my subject moved their heads there was a laggy blur until the camera caught up with the motion. Even then, it seemed the picture quality was just not as clear as with the other settings. So much so that the client doesn't want to use the footage because of low production quality. ☹
I know that 4K is automatically set to 24p, but I can't imagine that causing this much lag. Is there some other setting I'm not getting right, or is this just how this camera shoots in 4K?
