for the GH4 to shoot outdoor video and wildlife what would you buy?

Walking or tripod? My favorite one lens is the 20mm pancake. But that's not going to reach closeups on wildlife.

No, not hardly for wildlife, Noah. Most of what I would want to do is with using a tripod. Not to say I won't be doing some walking and shooting.

For the most flexibility, the 14-140mm II, which is very good and light:

Or the 12-35mm f/2.8, which is a fantastic lens, and weather proofed:

I'd guess a zoom is ok outdoors assuming daylight where you don't care as much about maximum aperture. But these lenses are much less useful indoors where light is at a premium.

If you're outdoors the 14-140 is a nice choice. It's got a nice range from wide angle to telephoto. It's Achilles Heel is that it's pretty slow, but that shouldn't matter much outside. It's also relatively inexpensive.
