Newbie AF-100 question

I'm looking at investing in an AF-100, I've read that its okay if you don't intend on using it for theatrical projection. Is this true? If so why not? I shoot short films for festival circuit. Thanks in advance

I think what can be projected in a theater is ultimately content driven. Canon 5D's are projected, HVX200's are projected and they are both softer than an AF100 and the former has more image artifacts than the Panasonic cameras.

So many variables involved- projection quality varies wildly from festival to festival. This camera is a fine place to start- not really a concern I would have. It's 1080p, shoot good looking footage with good glass and create a nice 1080p master with good color correction. From that point on, it's really out of your hands.

Not sure what you mean. You don't have to use it for anything, but it's ok to use if for a variety of projects.
