MFT Cine Lenses?

Is there anyone expecting cine lenses from Panasonic or Olympus or any other company that are specifically designed for MFT?

It's great that the CP.2's can use a MFT mount but at 4K a pop, that just seems to defeat the purpose of getting the AF100. At that point, why not get the F3 with the kit lenses at 19K?

Especially with the MFT website adding the cine page, I just figured I'd ask the question.

Thanks!

I think we will see more cine lenses in the near future. Cheaper ones? maybe not. Glass is the heart of your camera and cheap glass on any camera will make it render poor images. If cine style lenses is what you want a Zeiss ZF lens can be modified with gears and the clicker removed from the iris for a fraction of the cost for CP.2 lenses and will work great.

Yeah Duclos offers some relatively more affordable alternatives-

Also Nikon still lenses with manual aperture mounted to a Nikon to MFT adapter are remarkable bang for buck. Though you're trading ergonomics for price.

Many people in the business don't own cine lenses, they rent what they need for the job at hand.

A PL-mount adapter will cost you around 350 to 450 U$. Get one with an extra support, such lenses are heavy!
