variations in saturation levels
on May 1, 2009 at 12:35:48 am

hello out there,

When I was digitizing the footage I shot today, I noticed that the saturation levels seemed to be "rolling" from "not very much" to "kind of a lot"...

While in final cut pro... I confirmed that these levels seemed to be fluctuating throughout the recording. scary stuff. The camera was set as I always have it set at 24P, manual iris, manual white balance.

I think I can get away with it and the client won't even notice but I certainly want to get to the bottom of it...

anyone know what's going on?

Kinda hard to say from here- I'd shoot some color charts. If you see the problem continue, get it serviced.
