Problems with my remote control
on May 27, 2008 at 6:53:05 am

I have just tried to use my remote control for the first time. I set it up properly, in VCR 1 on the menu, but I have hit a problem. It works in playback, zoom mode, reverse - everything except record. No matter how many times I press the record button and playback button together, as per the instructions, it won't work. Is there any magic combination of buttons I must press that I haven't thought of, or do I just have a malfunctioning remote?

As an experiment, I reprogrammed the camera and remote to VCR2 but I hit the same problem.

May thanx

roger

Forgive the obvious, but your tape isn't record protected is it?

Also, I don't have my 100 in front of me, but I do have a 200 on my desk. Isn't there a start/stop button above the zoom control on the remote? Did you try that button?

Tim, You're a genius. Why doesn't it say in the instruction manual that you don't put the camera into record mode by pressing "record" but by pressing "start"!

Many thanx

Why do you think we skip reading the manuals?

Because we're MEN. That's why.
