We have been hired to shoot a conference for 4 hours straight with our P2 camera, we don't think we have enough cards to roll 4 hours straight... can anyone recommend a storage device/alternative idea that would help us?

1. Buy/rent another Card would be my first suggestion.
2. Buy/rent a External recorder like the FS100 or KiPro.

1st, I agree with Chris' suggestions.

2nd, you should be making enough money on this one job to be able to afford at least a 32GB card ($475). Think of it as an investment. 64GB card is $695.

If your cameras are locked down shooting presenters, shoot in 720/24PN (80 min. 32 GB) or 720/30PN (64 Min 32 GB). That will give you maximum record times.

If these options don't work, you have the option of offloading and reformatting the cards on-site.

Steve,
It's continuous shooting, off-loading on site is not an option in this case.

P2 cards are hot swappable. You can pull a full card while the other is recording.

A 2005 powerbook costs about 3-400 bucks and some have a p2 card slot. I sold mine but now wish I hadn't. There is a p2 card reader for 350 buck that goes to USB so you can swap while recording.
