Log & Transfer issue
on Jan 1, 2011 at 2:48:13 pm

I have lots of HVX200 footage which has been shot 720PN mode. I was about to transfer the footage. Whenever i add to cue, it spins for few seconds then goes to idle mode & after a click it shows red exclamation sign. I have unchecked the advance pull down option but no result. Please help me out friends, i have lots of footage to transfer & edit.

Thanks in advance.

Im using Macbook Pro 4.1 (2.5 core2duo, 4gb ram, Geforce 8600m GT), running under Snow Leopard, Final Cut Studio 2.

This is what happens. On Screen shot 1: transfer commencing. Screen shot 2: It gets idle & stop.
Screen shot 3: after the clicking the icon it gets red.

Please check this out & suggest what should i do.

Thanks in advance & Waiting for reply.

Go back into Preferences and recheck the "Remove Advanced Pulldown" (or something like that. I don't have FCP open in front of me right now) Make sure that the box is actually checked and try it again.

This indicates that the clip you’re viewing is part of a multiple-clip “spanned clip,” and that the remaining portions aren’t currently present. For example, if you recorded one big long clip that spanned across two P2 cards, yet you only loaded one P2 card into your computer, this ! indication would be displayed to let you know that the system only has access to part of the full footage. If you loaded the P2 card that contains the rest of this clip, the ! indicator would disappear. Quote from Panasonic's FAQs

I dont think it is the case. I have loaded the entire p2 card, which can by the way easily be read from premiere pro cs4. I am having problem in fcp with not one clip but every clip i shot. I have five days of footage which combines 10 folder of clips (2 card everyday separately) situated in one single drive. Please let me know if im missing something here.

Thanks.
